Do's & Don'ts for Having Difficult Conversations
Our resistance to difficult conversations is completely natural. We don't instinctually want to make ourselves emotionally vulnerable or receive information that could make us defensive. However, when we avoid addressing things in our relationship(s) that are making us uncomfortable it often leads to developing resentment and hurtful behaviors.
We get it! We grew up having to protect ourselves emotionally, hide our identities, suppress our desires, and conform to standards of society that say we shouldn't be disruptive or ask for too much. We had to unlearn defensiveness, and learn how to create safety, warmth, and compassion in our relationships all around before becoming confident to express our needs, boundaries, and desires.
The intention for this workshop is to share key habits and practices that will support you in establishing safety, compassion, and accountability in your relationships.
